ANSWER: The nozzle on your sprinkler head needs to be cleaned/flushed out.
ANSWER: The first thing that you need to do, is manually turn all of your zones on and check for proper coverage and clogged heads. If everything checks out, you will want to check the programing on your controller and make sure there is enough watering time on each zone in your lawn and shrub beds to handle the hot weather.
ANSWER: The cost of an irrigation system varies greatly depending on the size of your lawn, the amount of landscaping you have, the size of your home, the grade of the property, and other issues. Say you require a five zone system. A ballpark estimate may be between $ 2500.00 to $3500.00. The only way for us to give an accurate estimate is to come to your location for a free estimate, which we will happily do if you contact us TODAY!!
To save money some customers have elected to perform all backfill work, and/or reseeding, maybe even head placement! If you do this work it could save you $300.00 to $700.00, OR MORE!!
ANSWER: Draining your sprinkler system only requires two steps. Turn off the sprinkler main water supply, and open the drains. The drains are usually located in or near the solenoid valve manifold pit (normally in a plastic valve box), and at or near the double check valve pit. Other manual drains may be located in elsewhere along the sprinkler water supply line.
ANSWER: Well, tree roots can absorb additional water. The soil may be overly compacted, or it might be a sloped area. Maybe heads need to be adjusted, or need to be cleaned. Sometimes larger nozzles are required.
ANSWER: The time setting is probably wrong. Check time of day of the controller, it may need to be reset. Also check the start time of the program. Refer to your owner’s manual for programing instructions.
ANSWER: You probably left a drain valve open, go to the source of the leak and see if it is open! Otherwise you probably have a break on the main line.
ANSWER: Check the controller and make sure its plugged in and in the automatic/run position. See if it works manually at the controller. Maybe the system start time is real early and the water has already soaked in and dried off the grass leaves!
ANSWER: Well my first guess is that the flow control on a solenoid valve has been manually turned off. The flow control is located in the center on top of the valve. BUT NOT ALL VALVES HAVE FLOW CONTROL ADJUSTMENT! If you don’t see a flow control knob, then I would make sure you are getting power (28v), to that circuit on the control board. If that is the case, switch the control wire that controls the problem valve, with an adjacent wire on the controller that works properly. FOR YOUR SAFETY ALWAYS UNPLUG THE CONTROLLER BEFORE DOING ANY WIRING OR REWIRING. Better yet call a technician that is qualified to work on the controller!
ANSWER: It could be a couple of things, such as a solenoid valve that does not close all the way; or if it leaks a lot, and then stops, it might be the lowest head on a zone and the water in the lateral line is slowly draining out!
